Department of Information Technology
IT Stands for “Information Technology”, with sanctioned intake 60 and branch code as 533024610. It refers to anything related to computing technology, such as networking, hardware, software, the Internet, or the people that work with these technologies.
Today, the term information technology has ballooned to encompass many aspects of computing and technology, and the term has become very recognizable.IT professionals perform a variety of duties that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. Department of Information Technology provides best infrastructure facility and the highly qualified faculty; we educate students of outstanding caliber who can become good professionals in future.

Program Outcomes
- PO1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- PO2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
- PO3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- PO6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
- PO7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
- PO8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
- PO9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
- PO10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions.
- PO11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

- To serve as Engineer to use mathematical fundamentals to solve problems using appropriate mathematical analysis, data structures and algorithms.
- To utilizing the techniques, skills, and modern engineering technology tools, standard process necessary for practices as IT professional.
- Serve as software engineer to identify, formulate and provide systematic solution to complex engineering and technology problems.
- Serve as IT professional: function as team member in order to manage IT projects using suitable project management techniques by utilizing soft skill for societal and environmental well-being.

1. Industrial visit to forensic lab
As student, it is very important to link the theory part studied in classes and the practical aspect of Cyber crimes. As Engineers is a very useful field that make people’s lives easier and it is kind of using this pure science in a useful application that helps in improving local communities and society as a whole. It is very important to allow the students to discover the horizons of Security that is used in the daily life. The Forensic lab in the State of Maharashtra is a practical example that would shows the importance of security in everyday life.
The Forensic lab is a laboratory located on Panchavati, Nasik and the trip was organized on 2nd Feb, 2017. The major role of the forensic laboratory is controlling crime, serving justice and merging science with law expertise to keep the peace. The lab is made up of four different sections; technical inspection section, weapons and machinery section, fire effects inspection section, and counterfeiting and forgery section. The four different sections work together to achieve one goal; discovering and finding the truth based on scientific methods.
2. Nessa Group, Calangute, Bardez, Goa
Industrial visit was carried out at The Nessa Group, Calangute, Bardez, Goa on 26th March 2017 especially for final year students of I.T. Department. The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how various activities related to Data Base Management System and process are carried out in big company and give them feel of managers as soon as they start there career. Prof. S.S.Rajebhosale & Prof.K.K.Nagare along with 23 students left for visit at 12.30 p.m. and took about 3 hours to cover. The company is located in The Nessa Group, Calangute, Bardez, Goa. As soon as we reached company we were guided by Dharamraj Patel, Expert. He shared deep practical insights about the role of DBMS in today’s industries, the functionalities of Databases like Triggers, Procedures, Structures, Tables etc. in Different areas and the working of Data Centers, etc. Demonstration on Real time databases was also shown to students. The Nessa Group, Calangute, Bardez, Goa is a unique and diverse team that prides itself on being able to offer complete, 360 degree strategic plaAcquaint students with interesting facts and breath-taking innovations in Database, Big Data - Hadoop and other technologies setting the foundation for “Building Better Business Solutions”. We know that there are barriers to success and we know how to overcome them. We understand the value of communication, efficiency, and, consistency…and the difference they make to the success of any organization.

3. Industrial Visit to I-Medita, Pune
Industrial visit was carried out at I-Medita, Pune on 24th March 2017 especially for final year students of I.T. Department. The main objective behind the visit was to make student aware about how various activities related to Computer Networking and process are carried out in big company and give them feel of managers as soon as they start there career. Prof. S.S.Rajebhosale & Prof.K.K.Nagare along with 23 students left for visit at 1.30 p.m. and took about 3 hours to cover the distance. The company is located in I-Medita, 2nd Floor, Aditi Samruddhi Building, Baner Road, Baner, Pune, Maharashtra. As soon as we reached company we were guided by The visit was initiated by Mr. Saurabh Rawat and Mr. Saurabh Yadav, CCIE R&S #46962 - an Expert in Networking Domain. He shared deep practical insights about the role of networking in today’s industries, the functionalities of networking devices like Routers, Switches, firewalls etc. in communication and the working of Data Centers, etc. Demonstration on Real time Networks was also shown to students
