स्वामी विवेकानंद हे भारताचे एक प्रतिष्ठित विद्वान, संत, विचारवंत, तत्त्वज्ञ आणि लेखक होते. स्वामी विवेकानंद एक प्रसिद्ध धार्मिक, आणि हिंदू नेते आणि संत, आणि भारतातील रामकृष्ण मठ आणि मिशनचे संस्थापक आहेत. ते तेजस्वी संभाषण, सखोल आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान, त्याचे प्रभावी व्यक्तिमत्त्व, पाश्चात्य आणि पूर्वेकडील संस्कृतीच्या विस्तृत ज्ञानामुळे ते खूप प्रसिद्ध झाले. त्यांनी पाश्चिमात्य देशांमध्ये हिंदू धर्माचे भारतीय तत्वज्ञान मांडले आणि वेदांत चळवळीचे नेतृत्व केले. त्याच्या सन्मानार्थ, आम्ही दरवर्षी १२ जानेवारी रोजी राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस साजरा करतो.
लहानपणापासूनच स्वामी विवेकानंद त्यांच्या धार्मिक आईवर खूपच प्रभावित झाले होते, आणि त्यांच्या आयुष्याला आकार देण्यात महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका बजावली होती. ते श्री रामकृष्णांचे भक्त बनले.

सावित्रीबाई फुले या देशाच्या प्रथम महिला शिक्षिका, मुख्यद्यापिका आणि नारी मुक्त आंदोलनाच्या नेता होत्या. एकणाविसव्या शतकात त्यांनी अस्पृश्यता, सतीप्रथा, बाल विवाह, विधवा विवाह ई. क्रुरिती विरुद्ध सुद्धा कार्य केले. महिला अधिकार व महिला शिशु हत्या रोकण्यासाठी अभियान चालवले होते. त्यांनी नवजात कन्या शिशुंसाठी आश्रम पण उघडले.
Activity Name :वाचन प्रेरणा दिन (15 Oct 2023)
भारतरत्न डॉ. ए. पी. जे. अब्दुल कलाम यांचा 15 ऑक्टोबर हा जन्मदिन राज्यभरात “वाचन प्रेरणा दिन” म्हणून साजरा केला जातो .दुर्दम्य इच्छाशक्ती असणाऱ्या आणि ठाम आत्मविश्वास असणाऱ्या डॉ. कलाम यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्वाचे विविध पैलू होते. नितळ मन आणि दिलदार स्वभाव हे त्यांचे वैशिष्ट्य होते. देशाच्या युवा पिढीला त्यांनी आपल्या विचारांनी आणि कर्तृत्वाने भारावून टाकले होते. भारत नक्कीच महासत्ता बनेल, हा विश्वास त्यांनी प्रत्येक भारतीयाच्या मनात निर्माण केला होता. त्यांनी लिहिलेल्या अनेक पुस्तकांमधून येणाऱ्या काळात भारत कसा महासत्ता म्हणून पुढे येणार आहे, भारताची खरी शक्ती ही युवाशक्ती कशी असणार आहे हे त्यांनी सांगितले आहे. डॉ. कलाम यांचे लेखन स्फूर्तीदायी आहे. डॉ. कलाम नेहमी म्हणत असत की, एक चांगले पुस्तक शंभर मित्रांप्रमाणे असते. त्यामुळे शालेय विद्यार्थ्यांनी डॉ.कलाम यांची पुस्तके वाचावीत, त्याचबरोबर इतर साहित्याचेही जास्तीत जास्त वाचन करावे आणि विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये वाचनाची आवड निर्माण व्हावी, या दृष्टीने वाचन प्रेरणा दिवसाचे आयोजन महाविद्यालयात करण्यात आले.

Every year the Library Day is celebrated on 12th Aug. in the memory of Late Dr. S.R. Rangnathan. In accordance with library/librarian day, PVG’s College of Engineering, Nashik celebrated Library/Librarian Day. Dr. A. R. Rasane I/C Principal PVGCOEN was Chief Guest for the Library day Inauguration program. The program was started at PVGCOEN library-reading- hall with pratimapujan of Late Dr. S. R. Rangnathan. Mrs. Vaishali Patil Librarian welcomes to the guest and introduced the importance of library day and introduced the college magazine Advaiya 2k20. Chief guest I/C Principal Dr. A R. Rasane emphasized important of Digital library in this global pandemic situation.
On this occasion college magazine (Advaiya 2k20) was published at the hands of dignitaries. I/C Principal Dr. A. R. Rasane, Vice Principal Prof. M. V. Bhalerao, SSD Senior College Principal Dr. S.G. Wakchaure, Dean Academics Dr. S. G. Shete, College Librarian Mrs. V. P. Patil, all head of departments and staff members were present the program with social distancing. Prof. N. D. Kulkarni anchored the program. Mr. Nivrutti Dawkhar expressed vote of thanks.
Activity Name : Library Orientation Program 2019-20
User awareness program is a part of the Orientation Program organized every year at the commencement of the term for the First Year students to smoothly bridge the gap between school/Junior college outlook and Professional UG Program. In this, the FE students accompanied by the Library staff visit various facilities at the library and understand the procedure to use various available resources and services like OPAC, e-journals, Print as well as E-databases etc.

Every year, twelth day of August is celebrated as the Library Day in the memory of Late Dr. S. R. Rangnathan.
Mrs. Dr. Swati Bhadkamkar ( Librarian of GESs B.Y.K. College of Commerce, Nashik) inaugurated the Library Day 2018 at PVG COEN, being Chief Guest for the function.
Mrs. Dr. Swati Bhadkamkar emphasized the importance of Library day, need of the reading and information literacy while addressing the student gathering on the occassion.
Shir. A. M. Joshi, Hon’ble Director, PVG, who presided over the function, explained the historical view point of Library and its importance in today’s context.
Mrs. Vaishali Patil,Librarian, Dr. R.L. Edlabadkar, Incharge Principal and Prof. S. V. Dharane expressed their views on this occasion. Shri. S. N. Gunjal, Hon’ble Director, PVG COE Nashik, staff and students in large number were present to grace the occasion.
Prof. R. V. Ghodchar anchored the program and Mr. Nivrutti Dawkhar expressed the vote of thanks.

Activity Name : वाचन प्रेरणा दिन 2018-19
Every year, the ‘वाचन प्रेरणा दिवस ‘ is celebrated on on 15th October in the memory of Late Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam, Great Scientist and former President of India.
As per the tradition, A Book Exhibition ‘वाचन कट्टा ‘ is held at Reading Hall of Central Library of the Institute to commemorate the occasion. Dr. R. L. Edlabadkar, Incharge Principal of the Instiute inaugurated the exhibition. Faculty, Staff and students of all the departments were present to celebrate the occasion.

कवि कुसुमाग्रज यांचा जन्मदिनाच्या निमित्ताने पुणे विद्यार्थी गृह अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयात मराठी भाषा गौरव दिन उत्साहात साजरा करण्यात आला.
कवि कुसुमाग्रज यांच्या प्रतिमेचे पूजन करून मराठी भाषा गौरव दिनास प्रारंभ करण्यात आला. यावेळी प्रमुख पाहुणे म्हणून पु. वि. गुहाचे संचालक मा. श्री. संजय गुंजाळ, अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयाचे प्रभारी प्राचार्य डॉ.आर.एल.एदलाबादकर,श्रीराम सदाशिव धामणकर कॉलेजचे प्राचार्य डॉ. संजय वाकचौरे,अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयाचे डीन अकॅडमिक्स डॉ.पी.जी.शेटे ग्रंथपाल सौ वैशाली पाटील,सर्व विभाग प्रमुख प्राध्यापक उपस्थित होते
वाचन हे आवश्यक आहे काळाप्रमाणे आपन बदलतो आहोत पण बदला प्रमाणे आपले वाचन दिवसेंदिवस कमी होत आहे, ही काळजी करण्याची गोष्ट आहे.पूवीं शिक्षण कमी असुनही लोक वाचनाने समृध्द होते म्हणून आजच्या युगात पुस्तक वाचणे गरजेचे आहे. वेगवेगळ्या पुस्तकाची माहिती सांगून तसेच कवी कुसुमाग्रज यांच्या “कणा” या कवितेचे वाचन करून प्रा. रवि घोडचर यांनी मराठी भाषेचे महत्व पटवून दिले . मराठी राज भाषा गौरव दिनानिमित्त महाविद्यालयात ग्रंथ प्रद्रशन आयोजित करण्यात आले. यावेळी महाविद्यालयातील विद्यार्थांनी लिहलेल्या कविता सादर करण्यात आल्या. कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक ग्रंथालय विभाग प्रमुख सौ . वैशाली पाटील यांनी केले व आभार प्रदर्शन महाविद्यालयाचे उपग्रंथपाल निवृत्ती डावखर यांनी केले.

On this occasion an article “स्वप्न पाहिले वाचन संस्कृतीचे ” written by Mrs. Vaishali Patil, Librarian of the Institute was published in a leading daily news paper. A general knowledge quiz competition for Staff and Students of the Institute is held to pay tribute to the great soul.
